True me

If I gave you what you wanted even though it would hurt me,
would you see the true me?

If I stood up for you even though it would hurt my reputation,
would you see the true me?

If I left you even though I don't want to,
would you see the true me?

If I told you the truth even though it wasn't what you wanted to hear,
would you see the true me?

I'd do anything for you even if it'd hurt me,
So why don't you see this is me?
