Not My Own

Haunting and chilling

I can only sit behind and watch

As if through a screen door,

Hell approaching in waves.

Screaming from behind sound proof glass

Hearing deafening silence in return.

These eyes are not my own....

Hell rides swift waters...

I cannot look away.

Glued to the angry tide

There is no more control,

Just dead time and space

Between hell and redemption.

These eyes are not my own...

I cannot look away.
