Let me sing

by tears in heaven   May 3, 2008

Let me sing,
loud and clear.
don't be afraid,
of what you might here.
look into my voice,
not my face.
dont look at me,
and think of disgrace.
let me sing,
my beautiful song.
please just let me finally belong.
i sing of sorrow and not fitting in.
i sing of pain and not being thin.
these are things that i've been through.
make a differance in the world,
i'm counting on you.

    Don't be afraid,
of what you might "here." (hear)

make a "differance" (difference) in the world,

sorry.. just a little spell check :P feel free to do the same with my writings.

I liked this poem because I can relate to it. Sometimes I just really wish that people would stop just seeing my (slightly overweight) body, and my round face and oily skin and "see" instead my voice, my ideas and objectives and beliefs...
yeah, I certainly can relate to that.
