Satisfaction

by Spoken Silence   May 4, 2008

People always tell me that I'm never satisfied,
That I'm always searching for something better.
That I'm never completely here,
My body may be in one place,
But my mind, my hopes, and my dreams are always somewhere else.

I could sit here and say I'm happy and put on a smile.
But all who know me know that its a lie.
They know that I'm not completely happy with where I am.
They know that all my smiles,
And all my laughs aren't completely true.

You could look at me and see a happy girl,
But deep down inside I'm sad.
I could never be satisfied with what I have,
I could never be happy.

But then you came...
And everything seemed to be a bit brighter,
Like someone turned on the lights in a dark room.
I could smile truly once more.

People have always told me that I'm never satisfied,
That I was always searching for something better.
Now they say you look happy,
He brightened up your world.
And its perfect.
