One of the same.

One of the same
-----------

I'm young and I know I don't understand much,
But in my very few years of existence
I have learned as many lessons as I can.
From the very few things in my knowledge
I do know we lead the same life,
Problems some what similar.
Issues close to the same.
Memories both distant.
Yet our paths cross in this long road of life.
Each step we both took we knew there were consequences,
Each breath with a remembrance of pain we once felt.
But yet in my blink of an existence I have brought happiness
And have received happiness in return.
Which is a feeling that is strange to both of us,
A feeling that was felt so many years ago.
You once said that you waited to meet a person like me,
Your words that unravel at the touch of your keyboard
Remain in me, in my memories where they will stay.
I could never forget you, and neither would I want to.
This is a poem for you and only for you,
I'm young and I can't understand much,
But one thing I do know is that,
My feelings for you are true.
