This generation

by DeathXinXlife   May 5, 2008

We open up to a world that's so cold
We take a step out trying to look bold
All this frustration and furry
Everyone in a hurry
To try to escape from the pain
All the helplessness is driving me insane
People homeless and unemployed
The nation is slowly being destroyed
Poverty is sweeping the nation
The world does nothing but sit while the people wait in frustration
Nothing we can do nothing but watch as we fall
This is what we have come to this is all
There's no escaping all this helplessness
We are all feeling the same loneliness
So are we all that different in this unbreakable cell
Or are we just all victims stuck in this incinerating hell
Is there any escape from this insufferable life
Or do we have to run and strife
Welcome to America the land of the free
Look around and what do you see
People that speak out get shot down
They shut them up and tell them not to make a sound
The one that express their freedom get punished
Hold on a sec. I'm not quite finished
One more thing to say to you out there who think you alone
It our time me and my generation to take back the throne
