A Hummingbird's fairytale

by Heba   May 6, 2008

Once upon a time there was a lovely hummingbird
He had many fascinating dreams would never end
But, those dreams were so over, that is why he sinned

He had a wonderful life
But, he tore it with a sharp knife
He used to live in the wide jungles
Where trees were his house, with it is long brown branches
Where the colorful flowers were his best friends
Where he lived in quiet and peace
He was like living in heavens

One day, he flew in the sky
He saw beneath him a strange land
He said I should discover it, and it shall be an unforgotten try
When he landed on that ground
He just looked around
He found another world
It was so scary and so odd
He remembered that once he was warned
This place can't be approached
By weak creatures like him
Because it was the human's world
Where there is hate, grudge, deceiving and other horrible secrets can not be told

But, he didn't believe in what was told
And decided to live with humans, who were so bold
Who showed him no love or sympathy
Who didn't care for his sensitivity
They tortured him, and he was so wounded
And became in that cruel world so abandoned
He was so weak and couldn't be defended
By some, who had merciful hearts

He became so ill
He felt that he is in hell
Suffering from a cursed spell
He was so regret
He wished to go back home
But, this wish couldn't be fulfilled
And his freedom was locked up in a cage and was killed
He was so close to the end
He gave up faith, he lost hope
He felt that he was strangled with a choking rope

Finally, he was dead
At that night when the moon was so pale
And that hummingbird became a fairy tale!
