Love, tragedy, bruises and lies

by If only i could   May 7, 2008

My darling,
please promise me you'll never fall,
for i cannot stand without you,
but all the things you do to me,
make me double check if its true.

you hurt me then claim its Okay,
the pain is irreversible,
I'm still so young with no protection,
you look at the vulnerable,
and take advantage of the situation.

The bruises are beginning to show,
the blood racing,
as once again its time to bash me,
you yell and scream that I'm pathetic,
but look in the mirror if thats what you want to see.

a gentleman by day, monster by night,
what am i supposed to do,
when the kids cry,
the know what pain is, and evil too,
the know strength and how hard i try.

I can fake smiles,
even hide bruises,
but when i see the fear in their eyes,
i cannot hide the scars,
i cannot hide the happy family lies.

I'M not your puppet,
I'm a human bean
I'm not going to beg or plead,
just tell you this has stopped,
I'm going to leave.

its not as simple and easy,
I've packed my bags,
have a place to stay,
and I'm warning you,
come near me or the kids and your gonna pay
