Homeless and smiling

by Lemonbread   May 7, 2008

You see him on the streets alone
No home, no money, no telephone
You either walk by and ignore him
Or look and laugh at him so grim

If you saw through his eyes
And sort out the truths and lies
Of his painful life of his hes spending
Do you care or are you pretending?

I sit there with him for a while
People laugh but we just smile
Someone threw us money from their wage
Keep your money, we want change
