There she lies

by AndreaDanielle   May 8, 2008

She lies on the floor in despair
using every ounce of strength in her weakened body
clinging to her last breath she tries to stand
falling back down she cries in agony
the blood begins to drip
seaping through her dry pale skin
again she is alone
praying for someone to hear her sorrowful cry for help
theres no light to give her hope
only darkness surrounds her
then the rain begins to pour
and her spirit has left her
suddenly a man yells out with no reply
praying to save his one true love
only to find her drenched in water and blood
his mind races and for a moment
his heart skips a beat
this is the end of her damaged life
and still, to him she shined brighter than the sun
regretting not coming sooner
he kisses her goodbye trying not to break down
still from the inside out his soul sadly yells
throbbing from his core he cries as he holds her.
