I'll Be There

by Echelon Eric   May 8, 2008

You may forget me sometimes

You will neglect me

Leaving me in a land of loneliness

You may anger me time to time

You will hurt me

Suspending me in a world of distress
A downward spiral

But I'll still be there
Loyal, like a puppy dog
Even when you push me down

You may be sad sometimes

You will need someone to talk to

I'll be there, ready to listen

You may cry one time

You will want a shoulder to lean on

I'll be there, don't worry, now and then
A leap of faith

I'll be here and there, anywhere
Close, like a soft pillow
Even when I'm already busy

You may say things to me, not so nice

You will offend me

You may get mad once or twice

You will shock me

But I'll be there, to make up and forgive
Love, live and let live
Even when we were total douches

You may get bored often

You will call

You may be broken

You will seek help

I'll be there, whatever, whenever
Friends, forever and ever
Even when we're miles apart

I'll be there
