The End To Our Memories

by Alexander   May 8, 2008

We made a friendship pact,
even sealed it with the promise
that we would never be torn apart.

Our goal was set then,
that day so long ago.
The goal to keep our friendship
forever and ever.

As days went by we only grew closer,
and that goal seemed to be working fine.
That is until your father
said those dreaded words.

'Were moving out of the city.'

Thats when our goal shattered
into a million tiny pieces.
The pieces being to sharp to pick up
without cutting your fingers.

Now we no longer talk.
It seems we simply grew apart
after you left.
Thats why i'm now saying
a few more dreaded words.

'Goodbye now and forever,
my best friend ever.'

Ive had this happen to me sooooo many times. i know...it sucks.

it was a good poem but try making more words that rythme..but still stick with the theme of what you are trying to write about.
