Behind the mask

by Shelby G.   May 27, 2004

A man with a mask
Ashamed of his face
Not trusting anyone
Just in case

In case of the notice.
Of a facial expression.
Not a nice smile.
But a frown of depression.

He wears a mask.
A mask of a saint.
Hiding is shame.
Behind the paint.

But a face isn't important.
Or the size of his smile.
Just the size of is heart.
And give it a wile.

Hide not the shame.
Of a tormentiong past.
But show of the joy.
And the happieness, Vast.
