Forest, Feathers, Fur, Fins (554)

by NinjaGirl   May 11, 2008

Forest, feathers, fur, fins
Where is it that I begin?

Forest that stands so brisk and tall,
Fur covers almost any animal,
Feathers on crow tend to be jet black,
Fins on shark go from their butt to their back.

The forest sways to the gentle breeze
But when the air is still, the branches freeze
The trees whisper a soft soothing lullaby
To get the lone hunter through the night.

There are animals living beneath these trees
Upon the lichen, within the leaves
And within winter, they hibernate
And sleep through till spring awakes.

Within the trees there live the birds
Their secret problems go unheard
When they hunt, they are so quiet
Cartwheeling throughout the night.

By the edge of the trees, there lies the sea
So beautiful, sparkling and glittery
Within the sea, in a bottomless pit
Is a shark with teeth and fins, complete.

Forest, feathers, fins and fur
Life passes by as just a blur.
