Hidden behind her smile

To make her feel beautiful she puts on her face
But as the day goes on the tears wash it away
No one sees the truth she hides behind her smile
She goes through each day pretending everything's okay

Locked behind her smile is the pain she feels
Each day she keeps it hidden pretty well.
Nobody can see behind the lies
Or how each day she goes through hell

Each day a new scar is added
One that wonâ??t go away
She hopes in time they will fade
But that hope is lead astray

The only thing to fade is her
She's slowly fading away from everyone around
There's only one who can save her
And pick her up when she is down

She waits for the day to come
And hopes maybe it will be today
