Titanic (Edited)

This could be the end of new hope
A new liner created for giving joy
To the greedy but it taught me
Something so much more

It brought me you
Who showed me
The truth to my life
That I needed to see

Felt I would never belong
In this world I’m living in
But you took my hand and shook it
And then we were gone

You showed me the way that
The stars shined so bright
The way the ocean’s sound
Could keep you up all night

But not with worry
Nor sickness or despair
But the joy and the peace
That it brings to the air

You told me that I
Had a place in this world
That I could decide it
Not any other girl

Despite the rules of society
We became friends
The poor and the rich were
Walking hand and hand

Learning the joys of life
As we walked along
Unknowing that soon enough
The ship would fall

As the ship sank to the ground
We watched together and held
Onto the things we learned
Despite the cold feeling in the air

I know this journey is one
That I will never dare to forget
It is full of memories of me and you
And the friendship that we shared
