Looking For You In Misty Meadows

I know the misty meadows where you're going
And at this time you will me coming.
Ill be ready in the fiery embers, calling
Hoping you turn around and see me crawling.

I've been missing you, day to day
While the sun neglects its rays
That used to shine from day to day
But have forgotten their way.

I've been sitting lonely in the dark
Staring at the dogs that bark so hard
They circle all around me like sharks
As i'm waiting for my brain to spark.

The person that I love is far away,
Behind big doors that laugh and say,
"We're sorry but we're closed today"
And laugh as I leave and go my way.

"I'll be back, you know?" I said,
But they neglected my dismay.
"Smile and point-- I look ahead!"
"And I'll be back, treading this way."

I did come back and she wasn't there
They must've taken her away.
I stayed and looked beyond where
They could've travelled to that day.
I found nothing but an empty chair
So I'll start over right away.

Time is gone that was once here,
It just flew away and disappeared,
And all thats left is shadows near,
To laugh and hide away the tears.
