Listening to the rain and a man in love

I listen to the rain fall
Drip, drip, drop
I'm hearing his pleading call
Screaming from the top

He says he loves me
He says he'll never leave
And his love I can see
But my trust he has deceived

I love another, and when I left
His love for me grew stronger
But before, my heart he theft
His love I've waited for so long

And now I listen to the rain
Falling in love and in confusion
I hear his cries and see his pain
And a love I though was just an illusion
