Daddy's Little Girl

by Nicholee   May 20, 2008

She's daddy's little girl
with long brown curls
and a sparkle in her eye
he's the first one she goes to when her well runs dry
with a little smile
that makes him laugh for a while
with ears like his
and he always leaves her forehead with a kiss

She'd daddy's little girl
she rocks his world
with little hands
and when she talks she knows he understands
a button nose
and long toes
he knows this resembles him
and yes he's my dad his name is Jim

Now she's growing older
doesn't need his shoulder
she's a graduate
by the sound of it
making her dreams come true
going to see the ocean blue
She's still wishing on a star
to let him know she's not that far
to give her a call
anything at all
to remind her that she's still
daddy's little girl
