Mother's Home

by H E Losey   May 20, 2008

A boy is born
his journey begun
By his side
walks only one
"Like father, like son"
we often hear
But when needs arrive
it's mother dear
So tall and strong
standing on his own
With his mother's love
he is never alone
He takes a wife
has children to raise
Still all he seeks
is his mother's praise
Now she has aged
grown weak and frail
Her son now seeking
his homeward trail
For all the women
he has known
Only his mother
can make him a home.

So true, so true. Nicely written, your words were filled with such emotion and it was a very unique and special poem.

    "For all the women
    he has known
    Only his mother
    can make him a home."

How sweet, but so so true, his mother is still his caring mother that raised him when he was little, and still her love is with him. Nice write, very good, and keep writing!
