Alone.. not lonely

by Scribbler   May 21, 2008

The early morning walks takes me to a place
Loneliness, the key to the gate and freedom,
The way to spin the key. Not anticlockwise
Or clockwise, because that would be conformist

Truthful to yourself you shall be there
For you will not require to please the others
Forgetting about appearances and pretenses
Disregarding the way you have to contain yourself

The roads shall listen to your anguish without pity
The trees shall celebrate your triumphs with glee
And you shall keep your head high and walk
Assurance of you being the emperor, yelled in your mind

"A beautiful place," your conscience shall pronounce
Your ego, the precious, the architect of your temperament
Intact and proud will remain for you to pleasure
And a life unique and filled with contentment you sculpt.

I love the setup line in the beginning. It sets a nice mood.

I liked this piece of yours and found the words well picked and well placed. I liked the serenity your emotions put to the paper and it was like a story to me where I was willing to read more and more. very nice
