No Goodbyes (a pantoum)

by Gabba Gabba Hey   May 21, 2008

So seldom have I thought of you
without a tear in my eye
so seldom I didn't want you back
I wonder how this will end?

Without a tear in my eye
I stood before her grave
I wonder how this will end
with hopeless hearts all twisting apart

I stood before her grave
and sang her a song of hope
with hopeless hearts twisting apart
I'm refusing to wave goodbye

And sang her a song of hope...
as if she could hear me now
I'm refusing to wave goodbye
because somehow I'm still hopeful

As if she could hear me now
the dirt clogs up her ears, it's sad
becuase somehow I'm still hopeful
she'll wake up and hear me again

The dirt clogs up her ears, it's sad,
I'd wanted so much more
she'll wake up and hear me again...
it's not possible for her to be gone

I'd wanted so much more
it's not possible for her to be gone.
