Pointlessness of Being

by Aaron   May 23, 2008

People are cruel and mean to others,
Dark clouds don't make good covers.
False rains of lies poor down on us all,
It seems at times we will all fall.

When we fall we'll break ourselves,
When we fall it's off the top shelves.
There's so much pain and suffering today,
And yet we choose to make it worse anyway.

People just want their problems to end,
They don't care about anyone not even their friend.
So you really can't trust anyone,
At least no one under this sun.

Darkness seems to shroud us all the time,
Truth is altered like lemons to lime.
Everyone will always tell you lies,
Only feed you the best of pies.

You'll find someone you think you can trust,
But they'll turn on you like metal to rust.
Cutting through weak insecure unstableness,
With many curses disguised as a bless.

So just remember and know this is really true,
That you can't trust anyone, not even you.
In the end we'll die of our sin,
So why even try to begin?
