Gummy Worm Kiss

by Megan   May 25, 2008

He sat across from me,
He on the couch,
I on the love seat,

Separated by the floor
And a pack of sour neon Gummy Worms.

His eyes were glued to me
As I tried to ignore and watch the T.V.
I glanced at him, then looked away,
He tried to speak, but no words came.

Both so shy and so unsure,
I decided to offer a Gummy Worm.

He accepted and got to his feet.
Closer and closer he came; my heart skipped a beat.

As he reached out his hand
To grab some worms from the pack,
His fingers brushed mine
And he never pulled back.

What he did next was as simple as this:
He leaned forward,
His lips finding mine;
Ending in a Gummy Worm kiss.
