Mascara Smudged Eyes

Mascara smudged eyes
With tears falling down

She puts her hands on her face
Trying to stop them as they fall

She shields herself from the staring eyes

Her hair falls in front of her face
But she does not attempt to brush it away

She cannot think of anything
Besides what she has just been told

Who knew how much power these two words had?

...Its Over!...

These words bounce off her heart
As it breaks into shattered pieces

The pain of her world
Comes crashing down before her

She knows that things will never be the same again
