Save you from me.

by Helene   May 29, 2008

I say sit down,
we need to talk,
You want to get out,
take a walk.
But I'm afraid I
Might start crying,
From all the thoughts that
I've been hiding.
I know that I
can't save myself,
And that I'm lost
Beyond all rescue,
But if I confess my Hell,
There's a small chance
I might save you.

You say you want to
keep on trying,
and that you'll save my soul
from dying,
and I've been sabotaging this thing,
that could have maybe
led to something.
I'll say I know I'm not all right,
and I've been sleepless all the night,
in hopes to find a way to maybe,
Find a way to save you from me.

And I've been pushing you away,
And I've been putting you through Hell,
But none the less, you always stay,
To try to save me from myself.
I'm just a box with bits and pieces,
of something ruined, something torn,
And I've been searching for the reasons,
I've been dead since I was born.

I see the fall before I'm tripping,
I feel the pain before I land,
But I just will not take you with me,
Left with sorrow, empty hand.
I know that I
can't save myself,
And that I'm lost
Beyond all rescue,
But if I confess my Hell,
There's a small chance
I might save you.
