Spring's departure

by Arunansu   May 30, 2008

After you left, I noticed
my arms have been tied up.

I realize you pierced my scalp
with pins and needles, punctured

Elysian dreams, metamorphosed
window panes into telephoto lenses.

My garden has shrunk
with pin cushion distortion.

A naughty wind
swings the door to and fro.

You left it ajar while stepping out.
