My Stranger

by Romancing the Darker Side   Jun 1, 2008

I wish I never knew you,
I never heard you laugh.
Never looked closely,
I wish I just saw half.

I wish I'd never seen you,
I never saw you smile.
Never left me behind,
I wish you were versitile.

I wish I'd been a part,
Of your master plan.
You tried to figure me out,
And I couldn't understand.

I never wished to be alone,
Just to be with you.
But our friendship's end,
Was long overdue.

I messed it up, I admit defeat.
But you could at least try.
I haven't seen you in three months,
But every day, I cry.

I wish you were a stranger,
I could disengage.
One who's memories disappear,
With the coming of my age.

I wish you would go away,
And just get out of my head,
But I know you're stuck here forever,
"Best friends" til the end.

Again a very good poem, and a nice display of emotions.

This almost made me cry, I suppose I can relate a little too much. Anyways. Excellent word choice, and the rhyming was good and smooth. Flow was pretty good, and the whole poem was emotional and amazing. Wonderful! (: 5/5
