Reluctant

by Ares   Jun 2, 2008

You ask me to come over,
bring my cotton words of love,
you ask me to come over,
repair those dreams which you've lost.

life's not as easy as it looks,
when you're left outside alone,
no more mom and dad,
to watch you when you sleep,
or dry away those tears you weep.

the candy world as gone away,
no more living without a care,
the candy world as gone away,
they don't care if it's not fair.

life's not as easy as it looks,
when you're left outside alone,
no more mom and dad,
to watch you when you sleep,
or dry away those tears you weep.

you say:
I don't want to live alone, alone.
I don't want to live alone, alone..
reluctant..
*******************************
a short song I made upon realizing that
it was time to move out. not much of a poem,
but I thought I'd give it a go.

I like the repitition and the way its just sort of a wake up call, but not really angry, just matter of fact

It's a poem of...I dunno. It's got some good points. I like the bit of no more parents to watch you when you sleep, it's symbolic of a lot. I like it! (that really doesn't tell you anything, but anyway :P).....

Yes, time to move on... Face this world alone. Stand in your own feet. Learn to cope things alone. Move on...move on.. Next step. One more near becoming ADULT. I am still kid...even I have lived alone for years...

Nice poem.. True feelings.. I can relate... :)
