Growing up with parent like mine
and realizing they would rather fight than,
go to one of my school plays.
Or would rather get drunk than,
go to one of my dance shows.
Or would rather beat me than,
hug me and tel me how much they love me.
Teaches you lessons that you cannot figure out.
You wake up everymorning with hundreds of questions:
Is it my fault?
Did I do something wrong?
Or is this their way of showing their love?
You start to get angry becuz it starts to get worse.
Thoughts of suicide dnce in your heard.
Making you think:
If i do this, will they change their ways?
Will they notice im gone?
Or will every thing stay the same?
You sit in the back of the classroom,
hoping no one sees your pain.
But hten this one specail person sees you
and the pain inside you.
They tell you everything is going to be ok.
You give them a look of hopelessness
becuz you've seen the thing s your life can do.
They show you the world and how to live again.
You show them all the love you could give somebody.
But it just so happens they decide to love you
and all of the sudden change their mind.
In your head you wonder,
How some one can turn off their love for someone?
And then you remember your parents,
and what they did to you.
The thoghts of suicide come back again.
Becuz you think,
No one could really love you the way they say they do.
The painfrom this event alone is just so strong,
you think you will never escapeit.
You've come so far to be pushed down again.
And as the pain festers,
you take a look around,
and realize there are real people,
who do really care about you.
