The Perfect Place

by Lauren Waszkiewicz   Jun 4, 2008

The only place I wish to reside,
Is that perfect place right by his side.
In his hands is where mine are placed,
Like puzzle pieces, our fingers, are enlaced.
His blue eyes are where my vision rests,
As my head lays upon his beating chest.
In his arms is where I love to lie,
With his breathing as my lullaby.
In that place where our souls intertwine,
And the sun will never cease to shine,
That's the place I yearn to stay,
for every moment, of every day.

This was such a happy love poem and did not strike me as cliche. It was real and every word alive inside, I think you pinned this perfectly. The rhyming did not seem forced and everything flowed like a carefree melody.

Beautiful work dear, keep it up.

    Take care!
