Returning to Lost

by Chris Dewsnap   Jun 5, 2008

Why do you choose death
over beautiful feeling
You retreat to hide
behind your loneliness
But you will return
like the stealth of the cat
for the good of your mind
And your touch will sting
your kiss will burn
My life will explode
in embrace or absence
Something we lost
something I have found
Nothing can ever be the same

I can relate to the person you are talking about. Nice work

It feels like who/what ever you are talking about, you've shared the same ordeal and it sounds concerning.

I liked the poem but it felt like it closed off too soon.
