Can they see my shame?

by she   Jun 7, 2008

Brother
I saw an old friend of yours today
But I hid my face in shame
Wonder if they know
Im the reason your not here today

Wonder if they know my sin
That will soon be my reason for death

Can they see through my tears
Will they hate me when they find
I watched
As my brother died

Do they see the shame
The lump in my thoat when I try to speak
The shame
For trying to live a normal life
While he lies
Lifeless

Did they see my eyes instantly dart
To find
Something sherp
Are they glad
Do they, like I
Know I deserve it

Oh, I must stop asking these stupid questions
They wont bring him back
No
For i already lost that chance

The rhyme and the meter in this poem are nearly perfect but the theme like me is not

You write as though your salvation depends on it. The poem's theme reflects a popular theme is we must always be perfect to achieve salvation. The truth reflects that nobody is perfect and your dignity value and worth cannot be earned by good deeds or lost through any failures. No one that walked this earth was without sin but the Son of God and he paid the price. If you accept the things you cannot change you will find the courage to love and accept the divine nature that forgives all sin

This poem was beautiful, Monique. It actually sounded very mature, the word usage and whatnot. also the way you chose to have the flow was lovely.

but to this day, i will say it:

    it wasn't your fault.
