One night stand

by AndreaDanielle   Jun 10, 2008

A young teenage girl
lies in her bed crying
praying she could stop her wicked ways
lying when she says shes trying
every night when the sun goes down
she dresses to impress
putting on short skirts and tube tops
the pumps we cant forget
she stands there in the corner
for another one night stand
putting on more makeup
hoping to get some cash
a drunken man pulls up
and offers her a deal
again she cant refuse
she gets in and puts on her seat belt
as she walks in the morning
she quietly sneaks out
walking down the street
people scream and shout
some call her ugly names
some just sit and stare
trying to ignore all the watchful eyes
her heaven turns to hell
shes judged without being spoken to
they don't know the hurt she holds within
brought up in a broken family
this is the only way she knows how to live
wiping the makeup from her face
trying to stop the tears from falling
the sun goes down once again
yet another one night stand is coming
again she dresses to impress
walking the streets in the night
the high heels and short skirts
was it worth the money she earned that night?
a visit to the doctor
lots of tests were ran
an STD she found she had
but from which man?
she wishes to be loved
but no one will give her a chance
true love she will never experience
because of her one night stands.
