Silence Filled By A Crying Heart

by Jes Miller   Jun 11, 2008

He is miles away,
But he seems so close to her heart,
He is wheels keep turning,
But his vision is blurred by the heavy rain,
He is spinning,
And sees the world by its side,
Before his world went dark,
He saw flashing lights,
And heard voices that slowly faded to nothing,

His wife sits next to him as he lies still in his bed,
She holds his hand,
Hoping that her touch would make his wounds heal,
Tears form in her eyes,
Fore his chest is faintly moving,
She rests her head on his heart,
Just so she can hear his beating heart while she still can,

A sharp noise rang through her ears,
Nurses and doctors come running in,
They move her aside,
But she is not willing to let his hand go,

An hour passed,
And the sharp noise stopped,
All that was left was silence,
Silence that was soon filled by a loud cry,
Tears poured down her cheeks,
Not only because she just lost the man of her dreams,
But because he died not knowing he was a father
