Midnight

by Bored One   Jun 12, 2008

When my life ends,
It will be with a smile,
And a heart held wide open,
For all to embrace its warmth,

I have till midnight tonight,
Oh what shall I do?
Make the time pass?
Or should I have some fun?

Yeah, that sounds good,
I'll play a little game,
With the people as my toy,
For my last hours,

I would drive,
Though I have no license,
I would steal,
Though I know it to be wrong,

I would fire gun,
Just to feel its power,
Point at a man,
Just to see his fear,

I would go to school,
But not to class,
To see my friends,
But not mention my fate,

I would go to the bank,
For the remainder of the day,
Everyone unlucky enough to be there,
Are sure to stay all night,

It will be fun while it lasts,
Playing the hostage game,
To simply see the fear,
Of people who don't want to die,

But I will die alone,
In the last minutes they will leave,
I will step into the night,
Ending in a hail of gunfire,
When the clock strikes Midnight
