Her Lullaby

by Tessa   Jun 15, 2008

Her face is powdered white,
her lips are lined in red.
her hair falls loosely on her chest
I never could forget.

her knees are held tightly at her waist
her eyes are damp with tears
her mind is racing in its thoughts
I never felt her fear

her silence wraps around you
her hands are soft to touch
her mystery is a story
I never was enough

her eyes are blinking wildly
her presence is unknown
her faith relies on solitude
I never lie alone

My face is powdered white
My lips are lined in red
My hair falls loosely on my chest
I never could forget
