Dedication

by JULIE DEWINDT   Jun 21, 2008

Thoughts about what to do
if you impinge on feelings held true
somewhere whispered in a verse
the garrulous dedication to you.

Secret sometimes in a dream
awaken to instinctive thoughts it seem
Played forward again and again,
a dedication having no end.

Stop, don't move an inch
were'nt you derided for loving him?
say a prayer, comfort is near
I've heard your dedication
sounds like a hymn or perhaps a prayer.

On promised whispers a lovers quote,
sane people tend to gloat,
For realists such as myself
my dedication rise onward the same
Pervading a heart no one can claim.
