Time

by JULIE DEWINDT   Jun 22, 2008

I've gained a peace
a presence sits within me now
yesterday's blues I lay quietly down

I wait for the blessings to flow richly within me
long ago I invented, created two or three
the way I perceived them to be

sitting in the sun engulfed its warm yellow rays
thoughts run races within my mind
on display along my face, can't hide

time is not promised, this I know
wished I had a few more years to grow

we are not to worry over things uncompleted
the past has its way of making good on repeat it's.

our future comes when we open our minds to acceptance
out destiny fulfills when the heart completes it's fill

accept changes, enjoy the moments, however they arrive
time is not long
the moments lived are quickly gone.
