Friends insetead of Family

You have time to be there father
You have time to be his wife
You have time to be everyone else's friend

You don't have time to be my father
You don't have time to be my mother
You don't have time to be my brother

But I'm not going to wait around for ya'll to Start being family

My friends are my family
They're there for me when all of you aren't

So I have time to be there friends,

But when I'm not there to be your
Daughter
Or
Sister

Don't complain
You had your chance©

    Hey okay in the 1st line, it should be their. same with the bit about having "time to be their friends" other than that, its a great poem. i love the rawness; i know the exact feeling you have as you write it, partly cause i have it a lot - great writing
