Transparent Death

by Amaranthine   Jun 23, 2008

How are we dodging death?
I think it's form is stealth.
Natural disasters happening every week.
Head-on collisions on every highway and street.
Passing where deaths have occurred.
Murderers making teens to be lured.
The child being beat next door.
Starvation and sickness for the poor.
No cures for the diseases every day.
Sending our troops to Iraq, but now we must pay.
Cutters laying down that razor blade and knife.
Suicidals dead and somehow alive.
All these things happening to and around me.
But what am I really driving to see?
Is why I somehow always survive...
