DARK MEMORY

Through the darking woods i go,
to see the dark trees fade around me,
at the heart of a distant forest,
in which in my past was filled with bright sunlight,
shadow's of the midnight sky,
i walk in the starless sky,
here the clouds are gathering,
in my cold moonless sky,
the shadows hung down over my eyes,
then the darking clouds drew all the light from my eyes,
and then the raindrop comes in a darking rain,
i spill my memories on the ground,
to see it rain down in hot embers of purple rain,
now down the dark streams i go,
which seaward creeps silently in the mist,
the fog comes over me,
it sits,
and looks,
over me and my distant forest,
contained and alone.
