What to do

by McMuffin   Jun 23, 2008

What to do what to do
A question I often ask myself
Am I ready to do this is it right
I am told everything I do is good
But all I see is greed and torture
Every day I run in the heat
My face is pebbled with sweat
My face is red as the sun is hot
As I run in the heat everyone runs away
They are scared they know
They know what is about to happen
They hide in their homes
They hide every where
Could you blame them for running
I don't run alone I run with my squad
We don't run in these parts for no reason
We move quickly and silently
Like a snake we are quiet
Like a bear we strike hard
As we reach our destination everything is gone
It is quiet and pleasant
Not a sound is made except out breathing
Our heavy breathing is all we hear
As we stand there confused we stop dead
Instantly we scramble for cover
Shots are fired bombs explode
More shots are fired back
Our adrenalin is strained
Our hearts are pounding like guns firing
Screams are made as bodies fall
RATTA TAT TAT RATTA TAT TAT!
I want to go home I want to see my family
This could be it my mind is blank
I see my wife's face and my little girl
This can't be it I refuse to fall like others!
I stand back up and return the favor
I don't want to do this I know how they feel
I am sure they don't want to do the same
What choice do any of us have
I keep firing as they keep falling
The screams are loud of those unfortunate
They lay there in pain wishing for death
As our ride pulls up we have to do it
We end their misery and move out
I am coming home but at what price
