A story you don't want to hear.

by Helene   Jun 28, 2008

If there was a way out,
do you think you'd take it?
And if there was a rain check,
do you think we'd make it?
cause I've got a story,
you don't want to hear,
it starts with young lovers,
but ends with a tear.

And we know the ending,
but we're missing the point,
forgetting the lessons
That brought us to this,
A dream has been scattered,
but what can we do,
Maybe it just wasn't more than a kiss.

And I'll think about it,
For the years to come,
But of course I'm too proud
To ever admit it.
I can't let you know,
I was betting my heart,
And if I said it out loud,
You wouldn't believe it.

But if you ever remember,
Remember our vows,
The love-declaration of
Two restless lovers,
How we lived through November,
Forgetting our doubts,
How we could laugh out of nothing
For hours.

Remember my name
And the way we desired,
Remember the fighting,
When our time expired,
If you could rewrite the story,
Then how would it end,
Just tell me, exactly how much
That we meant.

Cause I've got a story,
You don't want to hear,
It starts with young lovers,
but ends with a tear.
