Becoming Destroyed

by Alex   Jun 30, 2008

She used to be amazed with the world.
Amazed of everything new.
The life she loved was becoming unfurled.
She took on more than she could possibly chew.

Surprised by bad, and excited by good.
She never really understood the words hurt or pain.
And now she seems so misunderstood.
She now has a kink in her chain.

She thought she loved someone,
Who had never loved her back,
And she was sincerely stunned,
When her heart became cracked.

He took her for granted and didn’t care if she got hurt,
He thought he could do anything he wanted.
He could care less so she was treated like dirt.
Her hopes deep down in her heart were being taunted.

He did some extremely bad things that he seemed to enjoy
And which completely broke her heart.
She was thoroughly destroyed,
And her heart was broken apart.

    Absolutely brilliant.
    this was good.
it would not however stand out from other sad love poems like it.
Nice vocabulary. Make it stronger still. Power, build a word army
The line length variation is strange and makes it easy to stumble.
The rhymes sound forced in some places. Let it flow, just let it flow.
    good read over all
