We were together a long time ago, but now your gone. I sometimes think of you off and on. I wonder what went wrong and then I realize you weren't the one. You helped me get stronger and tougher so I thank you for that. since we last split I've changed. I used to be quiet and far from God, but now because of you I've grown closer with my Lord. You hurt me so much that he was the only one who could fix my heart. So now I'm working my way to Paradise, and your working your way to freedom. So we helped each other. So all I can say is Good Luck and Goodbye my friend. |

I think the this write was very personal, i think that maybe God might have used your situation with this guy to bring you closer to Him instead of the other way around.... but it's always positive to acknowledge the fact that that person has made a change in your life some way.. because he is as loved by Christ as you are.
keep up the soul searching hun.. makes for a great read.
also it doesnt hurt to put your poem into regular poetry format... i think this one would look good like that.. it's on the verge of being free style, but it still has alot of structure that could be put into stanzas
