My heart strings

by Nil   Jul 1, 2008

Quite frankly I don't get you
But you seem to get me
Knowing exactly which heart strings to pull
To make me to want to scream

You've found the one that makes me blush
That makes me timid and shy
The one that makes me smile up at you
Pausing a moment of time

And the one that makes me burn
As you graze your hand over my skin
Whispering what you wish to say
Helplessly I'll just listen

I've only known of one other
To have this talent you now have
He was the one that pulled too hard
And ripped my heart out just like that

You haven't found that one string though
It was his favorite one to mess with
The one that made me cry
Making my logic senseless

Wishfully I'll believe
you won't hurt me that way
But heart strings are tempting
When they are the only instrument you play

So please be careful with this one
It just got back its melody
And I can't stand to lose it again
To live: my heart is something I need
