Valley Of Darkness

She walks through the valley of darkness
Seeking truth above lies
Heart icy like sleet
Hot cobble beneath her feet
Anger in her eyes
Sorrow in her soul
The world on her shoulders
So hard to breathe
Hoping for the end, yet she is strong

Years pass by
But still the truth goes untold
Lost within the valley of darkness
Where souls dwell
And pain resides
She looks to the sky
Wondering why
Screams were never heard
Tears were never seen
She’s alone in this world of unknown
