I Won't be Missing You

by I Seem to be the Heartless   Jul 7, 2008

I think back
To what I thought we once had.
What happened?
Was it something I did?
Something I said?
You said you wanted
To settle down with me;
That I was everything
You wanted in a woman.
I believed you.
I even considered spending
The rest of my life with you.
But then things changed.
You said you couldn't offer me a future
But asked me to be your mistress.
I was in love with you.
Willing to do ANYTHING for you!
But you broke my heart.
And though a part of my heart
Wants to long for you,
I won't allow it.
We were good together.
And as I walk away,
Stronger,
I know
I won't be missing you...
