I'm Lonely

by H E Losey   Jul 7, 2008

Mornings come and the dawn finds me
Lying with another, and yet
I'm lonely

Time speeds on, the day envelopes me
Hundreds are there, and yet
I'm lonely

The day ends, my home calls me
A house not a home, and yet
I'm lonely

The night steals down to surround me
Comforting stars and moon, and yet
I'm lonely

Sleep pulls and overcomes me
Dreams of your love, and yet
I'm lonely

Well expressed, you stated your feelings very clearly in this poem, and I really enjoyed it:

    "Sleep pulls and overcomes me
Dreams of your love, and yet
    I'm lonely"

Very powerful last stanza, the word usage is just beautiful, nice job!

This was a sad poem but you can clearly see how the author is feeling at the moment [lonely], which is what I would look for in a poem. Great write, 5/5.
